WHY DO WE NEED IT
Fans are what drive an artist's career.
Data is great, technology is great, but the human element is what ultimately brings in the money.
Right now the industry is hiring by job description when most people in the industry don't stick to one job description, everyone has their side hustles and passion projects. Imagine if every artist had someone on their team that was excited about them and anything they do, and could bring that energy into upcoming projects...their full-time job would be a passion project.
Passion and enthusiasm cultivates the best ideas in a 360 perspective and it gives a voice to not only the fans, but also the artist. This allows an artist to have the chance to really engage with a member of the fan base on what they want to see and fan the ability to advocate for the artist in meetings where that artist is most likely is not included.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
The Executive Fan Career Development Program is an opportunity for those looking to enter the music business or those who are already working in the industry, but want to explore other potential areas of opportunity.
The beta program included 9 members of Girls Behind The Rock Show; however, the full program will be geared towards building further diversity in the industry (focusing on BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Female & Gender Diverse Communities).
Currently, the opportunity is an 8-week virtual program; however, in partnership with IndustryWorks and Girls Behind the Rock Show, there will be a 2-5 day workshop format option for community organizations, school and universities as well as options to integrate into existing music business internship programs.
The Executive Fan is an inclusive community. This page will act as verification for program participants, members are removed if they do not uphold the professionalism standards of the program, this includes but is not limited to racist, homophobic or ableist actions, harassment, bullying or doxing.
Program Sponsors
Interested in sponsoring the program? Reach out to SponsorTheExecutiveFan@samanthajuels.com
The goal is to be able to offer the program free of charge to a number of participants yearly (ideally all of them), each session will include 30 participants (Spring & Fall, 60 total), plus short term workshops during the Summer for community organizations.
We are not only looking for monetary sponsors, press/media sponsors and brand sponsors (product placement in the Executive Fan Survival Kit) are welcome.

Girls Behind The Rock Show is the largest online platform and resource for women and gender- nonconforming people in the music industry. We were founded on and stand for the principle of female empowerment within the music industry. We look to empower education through the creation of programs to give marginalized genders the opportunity to forge their dreams. We believe that when everyone has a voice, opportunity flourishes.
Girls Behind the Rock Show started as an idea on paper years ago to help more women become involved in the music industry. Over the years we have developed programs to help advance marginalized genders working within the music industry. Wherever they are in their career, we want to help them find their path, make connections and receive the education and support they need.
